Finally something new to blog about ^^
Well...last week I went to the fabric market and found lots of new fabrics :))) (Didn't expect anything else ^^) from snakeskin to cherries, strawberries and polkadots!!!
Can't wait to make some hot stuff from those gorgeous new finds ^^
ONE WEEK OF FRUSTRATION...
I also bought a pattern for a blouse ( I usually make my own patterns but refused to make blouses before so I thought I should try this new pattern) ...it took me 5 hours to make and I was (still am) sooooo disappointed!!! I was sooo frustrated that I wasn't able to sew the whole week...really :(
The puffed sleeves were toooooooo puffy and too long...it looked like a prize fighter :(
Not sure If I'll try to save it somehow...maybe shorten the sleeves..or just throw it away...not sure yet. But that's basically why I didn't sew anything new for one whole week..meeeeeeep
MOTIVATION COMES BACK...
Sooo last friday my friend told me there'll be a fashion show from a re-opened costume rental store where she'll be doing make-up. She also mentioned that they've been looking for a seamstress. So I showed up at the fashion show on sunday and I really loved it...they had costumes from all kind of ages...from Middle Ages to Baroque and 70's...
After the show I introduces myself to the owner of the store and asked if they're still looking for a seamstress and she invited me to some kind of job interview today...actually...more a meeting and getting to know each other :P
She showed me the costumes and OMG my heart was pounding soooo fast lol Seeing all those beatiful costumes and accessoires was just amazing!
I've worked for Operas and Musicals before so I know pretty much about costumes so this would be really fun to work with! Gotta show up on Thursday for probation and hope to get the "job".
I've been looking for a little part-time job for a long time and this would be just PERFECT!
I could work with historical costumes, I'm sure I'll learn alot and, of course, I can sew! which is the best part!
So...wish me luck!! ;)
(I've posted some pics of the fashion show below!!)
KITSCH UP YOUR LIFE...
On Saturday I found this huuuuuge turquoise alarm clock with a sparkling blue face!! I'll probably never use it as an alarm clock but I just had to have it!!! It was only 5,99€ so...why not, right? And it matches perfect the colorful cows I recently bought lol (see pic)
MOO...MOO...
Today I got my new MOO cards in the mail! Love them, though I think the colors could be a bit brighter but apart from that they're great.
They got a little add on the edge of the cards from MOO and DaWanda since they're from a collaborating special where you get 50 MOO cards for free, you only have to pay about 4€ shipping...that's all. So, I don't really care about the little ad on the side ;)
OH YEAH...almost forgot: if you order 50 MOO cards, you can also choose up to 50 designs for your cards! So each card can be different! How cool is that??? I uploaded 3 designs only :)
THE FASHION SHOW...
(sorry for the crappy pics!!!) Some girls where running so fast it was hard to take good pics lol
I know it's called 'runway' but apparently they didn't know that they're not supposed to actually run! ^^
(Please note that I have not been involved in this fashion show in any way - the costume rental, I will hopefully be able to work for, showed pieces from their fund.)

But I'm working on all orders and two outfits for Model Celina that she's gonna wear in a music video.
I can't really tell you guys much about it...not that I don't want to...I just don't really know much about it lol
She said she needs something Lady Gaga-like so I sat together with my friend while discussing my next tattoo I took a small piece of paper and a pencil stump and just made some sketches.
Well..."some" is actually overstatet lol. I made two which I immediately fell in love with and decided not to make more sketches but show them to Celina and in case she didn't like them I thought of 10000000 reasons why to love the outfits haha
But, thank god, she also loved them ^^
So here they are!
Outfit #1:
This one is a bodysuit that I'll mak from a black glossy spandex combined with a dark blue metallix spandex. I'll add lots of black pyramide studs to it and to the hood which will probably be detachable and give it a huge bow that I'll adorn with lots and lots of peacock feathers. The bow will be detacheable aswell.
Outfit #2:
This one is a 2-piece set constisting of a halter neck top made from a black wet-look spandex with a lacing at the fron and mini-handcuffs holding the neck ties.
And the hot pants will be made from the same fabric...all in black with mini handcuffs.
I'll also make a pair of black overknee socks and she'll wear it with some suspenders.
Can't wait to be done with both outfits and see her wearing it.
We're probably have a fitting by the end of the week and I'll try to take some pics.
"Try" because I'm soooooo effing forgetable lately that I cannot promise to make some...but like I said...I'll try! ;)
Hope you like em!

I just found some awesome Batman T-Shirts in a store and just had to buy some! I instantly had an idea for it...but not what I just made out of it...nuh uh. But since it's my Birthday on friday and we're going to party hard and wild (lol) I decided to make me a Batman Birthday dress...the cool thing is that over here in Germany it's currently Carneval so it's just perfect.
My friends will be dressing up as the Joker, the Riddler etc...very cool ^^
Oh yeah..I'll be making my friend the Riddler costume...can't wait to show you!!!
So remember this used to be a plain MEN's T-Shirt sizes LARGE..ugh...U.G.L.Y. And this is what I made out of it:

I actually wanted to wear it with my black satin underbust corset but I'm pretty sure the logo will partially disappear under the corset so I'll probably wear it either with the bow belt I got from Hamburg (as seen on the pic) or my black sequin belt...not sure yet. Oh yeah and I'm getting my hair dyed pink(Cerise) tomorrow so..YAAAAYYY can't wait. I don't really like going to the coiffeur. Glad when it's over ^^
Let me know what you think about the dress!

I recently purchased a cute necklace with a jar full of glitter and stars from Etsy!
Just like every other girl I just LOVE necklaces and the ones that comes with a jar are just the best! "Why" you ask? Damn...because it's a jar....with stuff in it!!! HELLO???
You could put anything in it...anything tiny...and wear it on your neck...wherever you go...you have it with you...how rad is that???
So here are my 5 fave Jar Necklaces I found on Etsy and DaWanda...all handmade! Enjoy :)
http://www.etsy.com/shop/SugarAndSpiceDIY
One of my favourites...it comes with glitter and cute tiny stars and you can pick your fave color! I got the blue one! :)

Uh...cookies in a jar! The only reason I didn't purchase this one is because everytime I'd look at it I'd get sooo hungry lol But it's sooo cute!!!

No food but a classic....The message in a bottle...sooo romantic :)
http://de.dawanda.com/shop/Dingalin
I actually don't like licorice but this one's tempting ^^
http://de.dawanda.com/shop/thebatinthehat
And here's one of my fave sellers! The Bat in the Hat offers cute handmade necklaces with tiny eyeballs or brains in it!!! Good thing for any Zombie-Lover ^^
She also sells some cute Alice in Wonderland jewelry!
Of course first of all you need to find a good pattern you want to use or make one yourself.
As this cincher is for prettiness only, I chose a pattern I made a while ago with only a few panels.
The more panels you have, the more boning you'll use and the more sturdy it gets, in case you want to make one for waist reduction.
Step 1: Serge all sides
Step 2: Decorations

Step 3: sew all panels together

Step 4: add boning

Step 5: add bias binding to the edges and be proud of yourself

Step 6: add eyelets and lacing to the back (no pic ;) )
Step 7: reward yourself and ignore all the mess around you!
Mmmmm they smell sooooo good!!!
I put some dark chocolate and heart sprinkles on top...can't wait to munch all 12 of them hahahahahaa

Thank god I don't have to clean the kitchen!!! ^^
Pic above found on uglyhousephotos.com/
hahaha and thank god this isn't my kitchen!!!! DAAAAAAAAANG

So finally some time to make new items and I just found some panels for waist cinchers I cut out ages ago!!
So I thought it's time to finally sew those cinchers...one is already finished.
It's made from a hot pink / black striped denim (I LOVE STRIPES!!!) I edged it with black shiny pleather and added 2 handmade buckles....YES...HANDMADE...I made them from a sturdy pleather and the black shiny pleather and a black buckle.
I ordered 100 different buckles on ebay for only 10€ (=$15)!!!!
Oh yeah and I've also added 2 D-Rings to the sides!
So now I just have to add the eyelets and lacing and it's done!!! woooot!!!

Oh yea and I just have to show your this awesome wallet I just bought from Tally Weijl! It was on sale for only 4€!!! And I got a matching purse for only 10€!!!! AAAAHHH!!! LOVE IT!!!
